If you are traveling by, why not stop by Three Island Lake. At Three Island Lake you don’t see much rainfall; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow, and August is the month with the least moisture. CrossTimbers at Steamboat is a splendid spot to get some rest, and skiing at Steamboat is one of those things you just should do. You completely must like Three Island Lake. Stay the night at Coulton Creek Campground; not far from Three Island

Don't leave Three Island Lake without first going for a hike along the Big Creek Lake Trail, and there are other spots here than Three Island Lake, for example Gilpin Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Crags Trail, and Three Island Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Hinman Campground is a great place to camp nearby.

the days of summer are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. During the wintertime highs are frequently in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Three Island Lake are in the-10's. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff
in the Park Range. Going for a hike on the Gilpin Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and Elk River is a delightful whitewater spot nearby. Three Island Lake is located in the Park Range.
This lake is so wonderful. Really glorious
skiing awaits you at Howelsen Hill, and it's a perfect idea to go to Gilpin Creek. All year is a fine time in the Park Range if you love the outdoors. Routt National Forest is a wonderful place to stretch your legs a bit, and after a long day outdoors Western Lodge is a magnificent site to spend a night or two.
