Reverends Ridge Campground is a delightful local campground. Thorn Lake is pretty arid usually; all through August this area sees the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. If you need a spot to stay Alps Boulder Canyon Inn is a brilliant choice, and Panorama Point is a peak you can see from Thorn Lake. After a long day outdoors Best Western       Lodge At Nederland is a glorious place to spend a night or two; close by you come across the Switzerland Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Front Range. Central City Blackhawk Campground is a tremendous campground nearby, and the Mount Thorodin Trail is a nice hiking trail close by. That right there is lots already, but it goes on; Thorn Lake has it all. Lakes are good; Braecher Ranch Reservoir is a lake                  that's near Thorn Lake, and Boulder Creek - South is a great whitewater spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. On a glorious day at Thorn Lake you can take a hike along the Bolling Gulch Trail, and you're almost certainly into lakes, Braecher Lake is one of those nearby. All year is a splendid time in the Front Range if you go for the outdoors. The scenery at Braecher Ranch Dam in the vicinity of Thorn Lake is gorgeous, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Boulder Creek - South. The Front Range scenery is always beautiful. During the warmest time of the year at Thorn Lake highs are mostly in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's.
