Thorn Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Now, you may feel that's a lot but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Thorn Lake. Stay the night at Central City/Blackhawk KOA, and you can go for a hike on the Switzerland Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Throughout the warmest time of the year at Thorn Lake temperatures are mostly in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in

| | the 20's; night lows at Thorn Lake all through the wintertime usually sink into the 0's.
That right there is a load of amusing things already but it goes on, the Front Range has it all. You get a good view of Panorama Point from Thorn Lake, and Reverends Ridge Campground is a good campground here. This lake is so wonderful. At Nederland is a good choice. Thorn Lake is one of the lakes here in the Front Range.
Alps Boulder Canyon Inn is a glorious spot to get some rest, and you're perhaps into lakes, Braecher Lake is one of those close by. Boulder
Creek - South is a good whitewater spot near Thorn Lake, and going for a hike on the Mount Thorodin Trail is always a glorious adventure. Not much precipitation falls here at Thorn Lake; the month with most of the rain is August,
and the driest of the months is February.
Be careful coming to the Front Range, you might not ever want to go back home again. An out of the ordinary thing to have a look at near Thorn Lake is Braecher Ranch Dam, and you can run the rapids of Boulder Creek - South.
