    If you like lakes and you're in this part of Colorado you can check out Thompson Lake. Sugarloaf Rock is something you shouldn't miss while you're here at Thompson Lake; why not take a little trip to Henson Creek if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Henson Creek, and you're almost certainly interested in lakes, Hay Lake is one of those nearby. So many amusing  
   things to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, not enough time. While staying at Thompson Lake you could always discover Slaughterhouse Gulch, and naturally, this is a tremendous region for people who like lakes, Larson Lakes is a lake in the vicinity.
Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Thompson Lake with nighttime lows in the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime are typically in the 30's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Thompson Lake tend
 
               to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Big Blue Trail is always a fine adventure; after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Ouray is a pleasant site to spend a night or two.
You truly should adore Thompson Lake. Go for a hike on the Fall Creek Trail, and Neoga Mountain is clearly visible from Thompson Lake. A pleasant place for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Thompson Lake is Lake Fork Gunnison River, and you can stay the night at Lake City Campground. Thompson Lake is pretty dried out usually; August is the month that gets the most rain, and June is when it's the driest.
There's no way somebody can get bored here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Near Thompson Lake you find the Ridge Stock Driveway which is a fine hiking trail. There's so much to do here at Thompson Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Slumgullion Pass Campground is a magnificent location for that. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
