Thomas Lakes is a location that is reasonably waterless generally; April is the wettest month with most rain, and June is the month with the least moisture. Going for a hike on the Trail Riders Trail is always a magnificent adventure; after a long day outdoors Carbondale-Days Inn is a nice spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. There is a nice hiking trail near Thomas       Lakes called the Munsey Ruby Stock Driveway; Avalanche Campground is a perfect campground here. The Blue Creek Trail is a great hiking trail next to Thomas Lakes, and if you need a site to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a splendid choice. Through the summer months highs here at Thomas Lakes get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. Highs through the winter are usually in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight                  here at Thomas Lakes. Sunlight Mountain is a very popular ski area in close proximity; paddling on Crystal River is so much fun. So much entertaining stuff to do here at Thomas Lakes, too splendid to be true.
