Paddling on Conejos River is so much fun, and a short spree to Shillings Spring is always worthwhile. Camping at Terrace Reservoir is nice fun, Rock Creek Campground is a nice local campground, and Budget Host Monte Villa Inn Monte Vista is a great spot to get some rest. The San Juan Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Summertime highs at Terrace Reservoir typically tend to be in the 70's, and through       summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; overnight lows at Terrace Reservoir during the wintertime regularly fall into the 0's. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff near Terrace Reservoir. Near Terrace Reservoir you hit upon the Hot Creek Stock Driveway which is a delightful hiking trail, and one of the governing highlights of the surroundings of Terrace Reservoir is Jacobs                  Hill. Terrace Reservoir is pretty dehydrated ordinarily; the month with most of the rain is August, and January on the other hand is the driest. So much entertaining stuff in the San Juan Mountains, just mind-blowing. If you came for an overnight stay Alamosa Campground is a pleasant spot to camp. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful nearby hotel is Best Western Movie Manor; the North Fork Dry Creek Trail is a perfect hiking trail nearby. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the San Juan Mountains.
