You can see Carbonate Hill from Tenmile Tailings Pond, and Tenmile Tailings Pond is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Kite Lake Campground is a wonderful local campground. Clinton Creek flows through this neighborhood; this is a popular site for people from Silverthorne. If you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on                  Arkansas River; there's splendid hiking along the Wheeler Trail. Buffehr Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by; you can go for a hike on the Wheeler Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Black Lakes Campground is always a perfect experience, and dry warm beds await you at Peak One Condominiums. This lake is so wonderful. Why not stop at Clinton Gulch Dam if you're here, and great skiing awaits you at Copper Mountain. Tenmile Tailings Pond gets very little rainfall; the wettest month of the year is frequently July, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Any time is a magnificent time at Tenmile Tailings Pond if you adore the outdoors.
