You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Why not have a look at close by Middle Fork Cotton Creek since you're here at Teasup Lake; there are great places to look at along the Hermit Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. North Crestone Campground is a magnificent campground nearby, and going for a hike on the Crossover Trail is always a delightful adventure. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Nearby Henderson Gulch is a good location to go if
you're at Teasup Lake, and after a long day outdoors AppleLodge Bed And Breakfast is a great site to spend a night or two. At Teasup Lake through the summer months highs are in the 80's; the overnight is a little chillier of course,
usually in the 40's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 40's while Teasup Lake nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. There are some fine whitewater spots on Arkansas
River.
Around Teasup Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; August is when you get the most rain here while January is mostly the driest month.

 | Trail is awful, disappearing and reappearing every now and again. Thorn bushes and trash cover what little trail is easy to navigate. Trail disappears completely before you actually reach the lake. Also it appears that an axe murderer has taken up residence in the upperwoods. Be careful and travel in large groups if you plan to try and make it to the lake. It is easy to get lost so mark your trail well.... |
