Taylor Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Castle Creek Campground is a wonderful local campground, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Granite Basin Trail. Really delightful skiing awaits you at Aspen Mountain, and while you're here, you could also stop at gorgeous Weller Lake. Taylor Lake is pretty waterless generally; August is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least                  amount of precipitation. Good hiking is available along the Star Trail, and a great place for whitewater paddling is Roaring Fork. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water nearby, Eyre Creek is a stream you can explore while you're here, and a delightful nearby hotel is VillaHotel Bears Creek. While staying at Taylor Lake you could always discover Taylor Pass, and get your pulse rate up on the glorious whitewater of Roaring Fork. For the period of the warmest time of the year at Taylor Lake temperatures are commonly in the 70's while overnight lows are usually in the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Taylor Lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Taylor Lake; Matchless Trail is a delightful local trail, and folks from Edwards love to come here. Having a great time at Taylor Lake is easy.
