Through the months of summer at Tanner Reservoir temperatures are regularly in the 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's with temperatures at Tanner Reservoir dipping down into the 10's through winter nights.       This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Tanner Reservoir without first paying a visit to Hixon Spring; there are other places here than Tanner Reservoir, for example Lyons Reservoir. Purgatoire River has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by; lakes are such calm places, why not go to Hixon Reservoir.
