In Colorado there are many beautiful lakes, Tagerts Lake is one of them. Paddling on Roaring Fork is so much fun; the skiing at Aspen Mountain is wonderful. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Tagerts Lake. Good hiking is available along the Chapman Trail; hiking is a popular thing to do around Tagerts Lake; Star Trail is a good local trail.
A good close by hotel is Chateau Roaring Fork by ResortQuest, and don't forget to take a wonderful little

| | tour to Difficult Creek. All through the warm days of summer at Tagerts Lake highs are generally in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Tagerts Lake temperatures dip to the 0's. You could also take a look at Tagert Reservoir while you're here at Tagerts Lake; it's nearby, and don't leave Tagerts Lake without first going for a hike along the Sawyer | |

is Weller Lake Campground; do explore Tagert Lake Dam while you're here. Any time is a wonderful time at Tagerts Lake if you love the outdoors. If the weather is beautiful, you acquire a perfect view of Smuggler Mountain from Tagerts
Lake; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Aspen Highlands is pretty near.
Looking for something next to Tagerts Lake? Warren Lakes is in the vicinity, and camping is available at Aspen Park Campground. Tagerts Lake is a location

We've camped here since our now 40ish childrlen were young. They are now taking their children there. Mosca is beautiful both to the eye and the heart. It is a little more difficult now that there is no potable water, but one can use lake water for dishes, and must bring in drinking and cooking water.Fishing is great - the deer put on a show eve4ry night. The camp hostess, Mary, is there is to help you with problems, and to give great advice.Other than the water problem, this is the greatest camp ground I've ever occupied!... |

Beautiful drive up to Lede Reservoir. We started in Eagle and took Sylvan Lake road all the way past the lake and then took a right at the first intersection. After climbing up and around the peak in front of us we were upon some huge rolling meadows that were among the forrests. A slight drop down into the valley on the west side of the mountains and a left turn lead us to the reservoir. It is a great spot with some fishing paths around the water and a number of campsites as well. We continued west to Gypsum Creek Road and a short drive back to the town of Gypsum.... |
