Do pop by Ptarmigan Lake close to Tabor Lake, it's a picturesque lake; camping at Portal Campground is always a pleasant experience. It is very dried out here at Tabor Lake frequently; during the month of August you get the       most rain around here, and February on the other hand is the driest. Summertime highs at Tabor Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's while overnight lows are usually in the 40's. All through the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Tabor Lake drop into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. A perfect place to camp here at Tabor Lake is Upper Grottos Campground, and soar down the rapids of                  Lake Creek in a kayak. New York Creek flows through this area, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Tabor Lake; Sawyer Lake Trail is a magnificent local trail. This lake is so wonderful. Near Tabor Lake you discover Brooklyn Gulch which is a perfect place to have a look at; the slopes of Aspen Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist. Good hiking is available along the Matchless Trail; dry warm beds await you at The Alpenblick By Aspen Lodging Company. Paddling on Roaring Fork is so much fun; the view of Truro Peak is lovely.
