If you like lakes and you're in this part of Colorado you can check out Tabor Lake. And if that's not enough, there's heaps more to do in the vicinity of Tabor Lake. Going for a hike on the Sawyer Lake Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and the skiing at Aspen Highlands is glorious. This lake is so wonderful. Tabor Lake gets very little rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here while February is usually the driest month. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Roaring Fork,
and let's not forget New York Creek which is a stream that you may stumble upon during your stay. The Star Trail is a delightful hiking trail in close proximity to Tabor Lake, and there's whitewater on Lake Creek for all you adrenaline
kick people.
For the duration of the summer months at Tabor Lake highs are generally in the 70's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 40's. Highs during the winter are typically in the 30's with temperatures at Tabor Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights.
