Why not stop by T J Lake if you're passing through these parts. T J Lake is a beautiful lake in the San Juan Mountains. And if that's not sufficient there's a heap more fun stuff to do in the San Juan Mountains. In case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rio Chama, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Jicarilla Inn is a tremendous choice.

Much rain falls at T J Lake; throughout March this area sees the most snow; June is the month with the least moisture. Camping at T J Lake is wonderful
fun, Rio Chama RV Campground is a wonderful local campground, and there is a nice hiking trail close by called the Leche Creek Trail. Just can't get enough of the San Juan Mountains. Rio de los Brazos has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot close by; close by you locate the Fish Creek Trail which is a fine hiking trail.
