If you like lakes and you're in this part of Colorado you can check out Sylvan Lake. Sylvan Lake is one of the lakes here in the Sawatch Range. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Fryingpan River, unsurprisingly you could also visit Leeman Lakes if you're here; it's not far at all. For the period of the summer at Sylvan Lake highs are frequently in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the

| | 40's. During the wintertime highs are mostly in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Sylvan Lake temperatures dip to the 0's. And if that's not sufficient there's loads more fun stuff to do in the Sawatch Range. Take a hike on the Salt Creek Trail, and Adam Campground is a fine local campground. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Antone Trail; get your heart pumping on the nice whitewater of Eagle River. What a location this is for | |

outdoors people. If you need a site to stay The Lodge and Spa at Cordillera is a delightful choice, and the slopes of Beaver Creek are so inviting nobody can resist. This lake is so wonderful. Antones Cabin Creek is one of the
streams close by that might be worth taking a look at, and you'll meet a lot of people from Edwards here. Sylvan Lake is a location that is reasonably dried up commonly; through the month of July you get the most rain around here
while February is commonly the driest month. Now, you may imagine that's a lot but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Sawatch Range. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things near Sylvan Lake. Sylvan Lake
is a magnificent place to visit for more than one day, LEDE Reservoir Campground is a magnificent place to camp nearby, and O-Z Dam is a lovely place. Gotta ski! Aspen Highlands is a nice place to do that, and nearby you hit upon
great locations like Alkali Gulch. This lake is so wonderful. A perfect nearby hotel is SilverLeaf Suites of Eagle, and Adam Mountain Spring is an inspiring location to have a look at while you're here. Just can't get enough of the Sawatch Range. Sylvan Lake is right by the Ironedge Trail, and a lake close by is Sylvan Lake.

LEDE Reservoir
 | Beautiful drive up to Lede Reservoir. We started in Eagle and took Sylvan Lake road all the way past the lake and then took a right at the first intersection. After climbing up and around the peak in front of us we were upon some huge rolling meadows that were among the forrests. A slight drop down into the valley on the west side of the mountains and a left turn lead us to the reservoir. It is a great spot with some fishing paths around the water and a number of campsites as well. We continued west to Gypsum Creek Road and a short drive back to the town of Gypsum.... |
Beaver Creek
 | 18 miles away 5 PHOTOS At the gate you leave the world behind. Nestled at the feet of North America's World Cup mountain, Beaver Creek is a custom-designed resort with the safe, unhurried feel of an Alpine hamlet. From the skating rink in the village square to chocolate-chip cookies served fresh from the oven each afternoon at the lifts, and from the ''Ivy League ski school'' to the world-famous performing arts center, this is perhaps the very best of luxury family skiing. And there is a mountain of prestigious awards for food, wine, and customer service to prove it.... |
