A perfect place for whitewater paddling near Swisher Reservoir is Purgatoire River, and Government Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could go to. Not much rain falls here at Swisher Reservoir; all through July this area sees the most rain; January is when it's the driest. At Swisher Reservoir during the summer highs are in the 90's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 40's while Swisher Reservoir
