If you came to camp Mary Queen Campground is a fine place to do that, and Super 8 Motel - Leadville is a delightful place to get some rest. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Swamp Lakes. Hiking along the Main Range Trail is magnificent fun, and after a long day outdoors The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch is a good spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful.       The slopes of Ski Cooper are so inviting nobody can resist, and Swamp Lakes is right by the Mount Massive Trail. There's whitewater on Arkansas River for all you adrenaline junkies, and while you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Edwards. Summertime at Swamp Lakes comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and winter                  nights come with lows in the 0's to Swamp Lakes. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Sawatch Range. There are some nice whitewater spots on Lake Creek, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not visit Native Lake. If you're a golfer then a great close by course is MT Massive Golf Course, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Highline Trail. At Swamp Lakes you don’t see much rainfall; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sawatch Range. This lake is so wonderful. Swamp Lakes is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Elbert Creek Campground is a pleasant local campground, and you'll come across a beautiful lake called Hidden Lakes. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff at Swamp Lakes.
