Swamp Lakes is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Lake Creek is so much fun, and glorious hiking is available along the Main Range Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. The peak of Bald Eagle Mountain can be made out from Swamp Lakes, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Leadville. All year is a splendid time in the Sawatch Range if you like the outdoors. to Swamp Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. Swamp Lakes is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Mary Queen Campground is a fine place to camp nearby; don't leave Swamp Lakes without first going for a hike along the Mount Massive Trail.
