You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun stuff the San Juan and Jemez Mountains has to offer. Poage Lake is a wonderful lake right next door to Swale Lake, and there's brilliant hiking along the Silver Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay The Spruce Lodge is a wonderful choice; soar down the rapids of Rio Grande in a kayak. Having a splendid time in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains is uncomplicated. | | available along the Hot Creek Stock Driveway. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Swale Lake has to offer, you can camp at Cross Creek Campground. Lost Mine Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at; hiking is a popular thing to do around Swale Lake; Quartz Creek Trail is a tremendous local trail. Using the river or the land without authorization is tresspassing and is illegal. I am by no means giving you permission to use it. I am simply stating the facts.
