Flagstaff Memorial is a good site to visit while in the area, and there is a perfect hiking trail close by called the Bear Peak Trail. Sunshine Lake gets very little rain; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain while January is mostly the driest month. Golden Gate is a good local campground, and you'll find a pretty lake called Maxwell Reservoir. And       if that's not enough there's a lot more cool stuff to do in the Front Range. All our national parks are glorious places to stop by, and Rocky Mountain National Park is no exception. Sunshine Lake is not far at all from Boulder; dry warm beds await you at Hotel Boulderado. Just can't get enough of the Front Range. After a long day outdoors St Julien Boulder*s Hotel and Spa is a magnificent location to spend a night or two, and the Green Mountain Trail is                  a delightful hiking trail close by. This place, Sunshine Lake, it simply has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Do check out Maxwell Lake close to Sunshine Lake, it's a beautiful lake It's always nice to visit Ute Spring. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Boulder Creek, and if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Saddle Rock Trail. And that's not everything you can do here in the Front Range. Bluebell Canyon is a great place to spend some time at, and Flagstaff Mountain is striking and can be distinguished from here. During the warm days of summer at Sunshine Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are frequently in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Sunshine Lake descend into the 10's. But wait, there's more to do close to Sunshine Lake. Playing golf is lots of fun at Flatirons Golf Course; get covered with water paddling on Boulder Creek. This lake is so wonderful.
