During the warm days of summer at Sunset Lake temperatures are commonly in the 90's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 60's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Sunset Lake drop into the 10's. But wait, there's more to do near Sunset Lake. Jumbo Reservoir Campground is a nice campground nearby, and a wonderful lake like       Mesa Lake Number 1 is a tremendous site to have a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Comfort Inn Delta is a nice place to get some rest. Sunset Lake is generally a rather dried up site; October is when you get the most rain here, and January is the month with the least moisture. Sunset Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Glacier Spring Campground is a good place to camp nearby, and if you need a site to stay Howard Johnson Express - Cedaredge                  is a perfect choice. Kannah Creek is a wonderful whitewater spot next to Sunset Lake; why not take a refreshing hike along the West Bench Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Very pleasant water scenery is available at Jumbo Dam in the neighborhood of Sunset Lake, and some out of the ordinary geology is available here, Spruce Point is right here. You'll find a scenic lake called Jumbo Reservoir near Sunset Lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Sunset Lake; Carson Lake Trail is a magnificent local trail.
