Sunset Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the North Sheep Mountain Trail, and you acquire a wonderful sight of North Sheep Mountain from here. But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Sunset Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Front Range. Near Sunset Lake you discover perfect locations like Bear Gulch, and get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Saint Vrain

Summertime at Sunset Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 30's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Sunset Lake. Some close by water includes Deer Creek; pleasant hiking is available along the Bright Trail. Sunset Lake, it absolutely has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Higgins Park is a stunning place any time of year, and Rocky Mountain National Park is a delightful place close by. This lake is so wonderful. There's glorious hiking
along the Ceran Vrain Trail, and Meeker Park Campground is a wonderful campground here. Sunset Lake gets very little rain; August is the wettest month with most rain; November on the other hand is the driest.
