This lake is so wonderful. Mix Lake Campground is a good campground nearby, and if you get bored of Summitville Tailings Pond you could also stop at nearby Lake De Nolda. There are some great whitewater spots on Rio Grande; do have a look at Cropsy Creek if you're here at Summitville Tailings Pond. So many cool things to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, not enough time. Going for a hike along the San Juan Stock Driveway will let you absorb the natural

So much cool stuff in the neighborhood of Summitville Tailings Pond, completely fantastic. If you came for an overnight stay Stunner Campground is a glorious place to camp, and Crystal Lakes is a nearby lake that you could stop at. Stock Driveway; a fine close by hotel is The Spruce Lodge. The San Juan and Jemez Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is glorious here at Summitville Tailings Pond, you can go for a
hike along the Lake Fork Trail, and the peak of Cropsy Mountain can be distinguished from Summitville Tailings Pond. A lot of precipitation falls at Summitville Tailings Pond; through the month of March you get the most snow around
here, and June on the other hand is the driest. This site, the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Summitville Tailings Pond is right next door to Summitville Tailings Dam which is a striking spot certainly worth a visit, and if you need a location to stay Allington Inn and Suites is a nice choice.
