This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Newcomb Creek Trail; paddling on Elk River is so much fun. Having a brilliant time at Summit Lake is trouble-free. Campground is a great local campground. At Summit Lake you don’t see much precipitation; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily December, that's the one that snows the most; August is the month with the least moisture. Summertime
highs at Summit Lake commonly tend to be in the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. During the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 20's; nighttime lows in the-10's for Summit Lake.
Take a hike on the Percy Lake Trail; there's
no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Steamboat. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! The Park Range rocks! A golf course right next door to Summit Lake is Haymaker Golf Course, and Scandinavian Lodge and Condominiums
is a fine place to get some rest. Now, you may feel that's loads but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the Park Range. Howelsen Hill has brilliant slopes and a friendly staff; Summit Lake is a magnificent location to visit for more than one day, Granite Campground is a magnificent location to camp nearby.
