Sullenburger Reservoir is frequently a quite dried out place; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; the driest month of the year is June. And that's not all there is to do here in the San Juan       and Jemez Mountains. Camping is available at Happy Camper RV Park; why not take a refreshing hike along the Piedra Stock Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A quick journey to Dutton Creek in close proximity to Sullenburger Reservoir is a perfect idea, and Dutton Park is a glorious location here at Sullenburger Reservoir. Now, you may believe that's loads but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Sullenburger Reservoir. After a long day outdoors Econo                  Lodge Pagosa Springs is a magnificent place to spend a night or two; hiking is a popular thing to do around Sullenburger Reservoir; Martinez Creek Trail is a tremendous local trail. So much cool stuff in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, just striking. There's good hiking along the Fourmile Stock Trail; hey, Gotta ski right? Wolf Creek is a good place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. The summit of Oakbrush Hill can be seen from Sullenburger Reservoir, and if you come at the right time of year, San Juan River offers some nice whitewater. You can take a little spree to Sullenburger Dam if you're here at Sullenburger Reservoir, and there are other places here than Sullenburger Reservoir, for example Stevens Reservoir. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. High temperatures at Sullenburger Reservoir through the days of summer are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while Sullenburger Reservoir nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the 0's.
