It's always fun to stop by Sudholt Reservoir Number 1. Dry warm beds await you at Country Lodge, and nearby you hit upon the Phantom Creek Trail which is a good hiking trail. The Front Range scenery is always beautiful.
You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Front Range. Since you're here at Sudholt Reservoir Number 1 why not visit Redner Gulch, and on a pleasant day you can take a hike along the Rule Ridge Trail.

1. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Shining Mountain Golf Club is a glorious way to kill some time, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Rule Creek Trail.
If you have a thing about the outdoors
you'll have a thing about it here in the Front Range. A spree to Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is worthwhile, and a perfect spot for whitewater paddling is South Platte River. You're probably keen on lakes, Burgess Reservoir
