    Stump Lakes is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. High temperatures at Stump Lakes through the months of summer are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's while Stump Lakes overnight low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Pine-Piedra Stock Driveway is always a fine adventure, and a splendid  
   nearby hotel is Tamarron Resort. Here at Stump Lakes there are plenty of folks from Durango; get yourself into a kayak and hit Canyon Creek.
This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Lost Lake is in the neighborhood, and you can stay the night at Florida Campground. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors just come on up to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. A day on the slopes of Kendall Mountain is just what you need; Transfer Park Campground is
 
               a great campground nearby. Stump Lakes is located in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
But wait, there's more to do close to Stump Lakes. Head up to Silverton and strap some skis to your feet, and get soaked paddling on Vallecito Creek. Yep, outdoors amusing things truly is bountiful here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. A delightful place near Stump Lakes is Stump Canyon, and if you need a place to stay Lodge at Tamarron is a great choice. There are other spots here than Stump Lakes, for example Oliver Lakes, and close by you locate the Deer Park Trail which is a good hiking trail.
Just can't get enough of Stump Lakes. Stump Lakes gets very little rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There is a fine hiking trail near Stump Lakes called the Whitehead Trail, and at Stump Lakes you can spot Miller Mountain.
