If you are in this part of Colorado make sure to pay a visit to Stump Lakes. Stump Lakes is a beautiful lake in the San Juan Mountains. Just can't get enough of Stump Lakes. Dry warm beds await you at Tamarron Resort, and if you came to camp Transfer Park Campground is a great place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Pine-Piedra Stock Driveway is always a good adventure; whitewater paddling is pleasant on Canyon Creek. That right

If you need a place to stay Cascade Village is a wonderful choice, and if you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Vallecito Creek. Near Stump Lakes you hit upon the Deer Park Trail which is a glorious hiking trail, and if you're here, you might as well pop by Stump Canyon. Florida Campground is a great local campground; you can never get enough of the splendid skiing at Silverton. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to stumble upon some cheerful people from Durango here, and the panorama of stunning
Miller Mountain is tremendous. For the period of the long summer days at Stump Lakes temperatures are commonly in the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's. During the winter the highs are usually in
the 30's with temperatures at Stump Lakes dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Be careful coming to the San Juan Mountains, you might not ever wanna go back home again. There is a glorious hiking trail close to Stump
Lakes called the Whitehead Trail, and glorious skiing awaits you at Kendall Mountain. Stump Lakes is typically a reasonably dried up location; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest month of the year is June.
