Yeah, come here to Stump Lakes for a wonderful time. Dry warm beds await you at Lodge at Tamarron, and don't leave Stump Lakes without first going for a hike along the Deer Park Trail. Stump Lakes is not the only place close by, Lost Lake is a close by lake, and if you need a place to stay Purgatory Lodge by Durango Mountain Resorts is a tremendous choice. Why not camp at Florida Campground if you're here at Stump Lakes; you can go for a hike on the Whitehead

The slopes of Kendall Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist, and a splendid location to camp here at Stump Lakes is Transfer Park Campground. in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Around Stump Lakes you don’t get a lot of rain; through the month of August you get the most rain around here while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. And if that's not sufficient
there's a heap more entertaining stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Silverton is a great local ski area, and nearby you stumble on fine locations like Stump Canyon. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling
is fine on Vallecito Creek, and tremendous hiking is available along the Pine-Piedra Stock Driveway. Through the days of summer highs here at Stump Lakes get into the 70's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. For the
duration of the wintertime the highs are generally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Stump Lakes are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. On a lovely day you obtain a sight of Miller Mountain from Stump Lakes; get covered with water paddling on Canyon Creek.
