Beautiful Stump Lakes has much to offer visitors. This lake is so wonderful. Stump Lakes is a nice spot to visit for more than one day, Florida Campground is a nice spot to camp nearby, and a great location for whitewater paddling is Vallecito Creek. It is very arid here at Stump Lakes regularly; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while June is ordinarily the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. A great nearby hotel is Tamarron Resort, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Kendall Mountain. Mountain is striking and can be seen from Stump Lakes, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Whitehead Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan and Jemez Mountains. If you need a site to stay Lodge at Tamarron
is a perfect choice, and Stump Lakes is right by the Deer Park Trail.

during the night it cools down to the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are commonly in the 30's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Stump Lakes temperatures fall to the 0's.
