     Strawberry Lakes is always a pleasure to visit. That right there is lots of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Sawatch Range has it all. Lakes are perfect; Blodgett Lake is a lake that's near Strawberry Lakes, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Vail. Strawberry Lakes is a tremendous site to visit for more than one day, Elk Wallow Campground is a tremendous site to camp nearby. Strawberry Lakes gets very little precipitation;  
   through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and February on the other hand is the driest.
This lake is so wonderful. There are good places to discover along the Half Moon Trail; you can stay the night at Gold Park Campground. The Sawatch Range scenery is always beautiful. Throughout the long summer days here at Strawberry Lakes, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 40's. During
 
               the winter highs are commonly in the 30's with temperatures at Strawberry Lakes dipping down into the 0's during winter nights.
That right there is lots already, but it continues; Strawberry Lakes has it all. This is a popular location for folks from Edwards, and not far from Strawberry Lakes you'll hit upon Fairview Lake which is a wonderful lake. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Fryingpan River is so much fun; there is a pleasant hiking trail nearby called the Last Chance Trail. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Sawatch Range. Here at Strawberry Lakes you can see Avalanche Peak, and float down the rapids of Eagle River in a kayak.
If you need a place to stay Hyatt Mountain Lodge is a great choice; going for a hike on the Lake Charles Trail is always a magnificent adventure. Dry warm beds await you at The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch; Beaver Creek is a very popular ski area around here.

Beautiful drive up to Lede Reservoir.  We started in Eagle and took Sylvan Lake road all the way past the lake and then took a right at the first intersection.  After climbing up and around the peak in front of us we were upon some huge rolling meadows that were among the forrests.  A slight drop down into the valley on the west side of the mountains and a left turn lead us to the reservoir.  It is a great spot with some fishing paths around the water and a number of campsites as well.  We continued west to Gypsum Creek Road and a short drive back to the town of Gypsum....
