Reservoir is pretty waterless frequently; July is when you get the most rain here; January is the month with the least moisture.
This lake is so wonderful. Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is a very magnificent location
to have a look at right next door to Stratton Reservoir. A great place to camp here at Stratton Reservoir is Clyde Campground, and a perfect close by hotel is The Cliff House Hotel at Pikes Peak. Why not take a refreshing hike along
the Palmer Trail; at Mount Baldy Dam near Stratton Reservoir there are some exciting things to see.
Through the summer months at Stratton Reservoir temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend
down into the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and night lows at Stratton Reservoir all through the winter commonly dip into the 0's.
