Custom Search     Stout Creek Lakes     Serious hike from trail head... but worth the view: Freemont County and Pikes Peak as well as most of Cannon City. Alot of waterfalls and very plush forest....aspens and undergrowth. Only a few camp sites at about 11300ft under the actual stout lakes (200ft below). Fly fishing is chronic (use midge') at dawn and dusk. Water is good and clean but use purification as usual. Wind can wip down Keer Gultch so pack some breakers and a hat (of course).
