There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Stone Lake. A good nearby hotel is Inn At Grand Lake, The. A charming lake like Upper Lake right next door to Stone Lake is a nice place to visit; you need to explore Saint Vrain Glaciers if you're here. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the Front Range will keep you coming back over and over. Do check out Round Lake close to Stone Lake,       it's a delightful lake; get covered with water paddling on Fraser River. At Stone Lake all through the summer months highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's, and night lows throughout the winter for Stone Lake tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Stone Lake; Gourd Lake Trail is a glorious local trail, and the slopes of Berthoud                  Pass are so inviting nobody can resist. This lake is so wonderful. Don't miss out on a spree to Rocky Mountain National Park since you're here at Stone Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Buchanan Pass Trail. Yeah, come up here to the Front Range for a magnificent time. Camping is available at Crater Lake Campground, and you might also want to pay a visit to Cony Pass since you're here at Stone Lake. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Boulder Creek; the summit of Cooper Peak can be observed from Stone Lake. Any time is a tremendous time at Stone Lake if you have a thing about the outdoors. A perfect place to camp here at Stone Lake is Shelter Rock Campground, and the Roaring Fork Trail offers hiking at its best. Stone Lake is pretty dried out usually; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. After a long day outdoors The Inn at Grand Lake is a perfect place to spend a night or two; hey, Gotta ski right?
