Many people like to go to Stockdale Reservoir. Stay the night at West Dolores Campground; hiking is a popular thing to do around Stockdale Reservoir; Fish Creek Trail is a great local trail. This lake is so wonderful. Why not go to Miramonte Dam if you're here; the Horsefly Trail offers hiking at its best. During your journey to Stockdale Reservoir you'll meet some folks from Montrose for sure, and a magnificent place to explore close by is Allen Draw.

Here at Stockdale Reservoir you can see Stockdale Point; not far from Stockdale Reservoir you'll come across Miramonte Reservoir which is a beautiful lake. This lake is so wonderful. Miramonte Reservoir Campground is a fine campground here, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Telephone Draw Trail.

A quick journey to Goshorn Creek in the vicinity of Stockdale Reservoir is a great idea; in the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on San Miguel River.
