At Stink Lake you don’t see much rainfall; September is the month that gets the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Black Canyon Campground is a brilliant local campground, and a lake close by is Mack Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The Deer Creek Trail is a brilliant hiking trail in the vicinity of Stink Lake. Stink Lake is one of the lakes here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. High temperatures       at Stink Lake all through the days of summer are in the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are mostly in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Stink Lake. Stink Lake is a great location to visit for more than one day, Big Cimarron Campground is a great location to camp nearby, and get your pulse rate up on the brilliant whitewater of Cimarron River. So many exciting things to do at Stink                  Lake, so little time. If the weather is wonderful here at Stink Lake, you can go for a hike along the Alpine Trail; a great nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Ouray. All year is a tremendous time in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. Butte Creek is a great local stream, and Moore Pasture is a good site to check out. This lake is so wonderful. You need to check out Butte Rock since you're here at Stink Lake; you can run the rapids of Cimarron River. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
