This place, Stink Lake, it just has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Take a hike on the Little Cimarron Trail, and Moore Pasture is a nice site here at Stink Lake. If you want to stop by some out of the ordinary stuff, stop by Butte Rock; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Cimarron River. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the San Juan and Jemez       Mountains. Hiking along the Deer Creek Trail is nice fun, and get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Cimarron River. But wait, there's more enjoyable stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Big Cimarron Campground is a great local campground, and a good close by hotel is Comfort Inn Ouray. During the summer months at Stink Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of                  the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while Stink Lake night low temperatures all through the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Stink Lake is right by the Alpine Trail. Stink Lake is a location that is relatively dried out generally; September is the wettest month with most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. You're almost certainly addicted to lakes, Mack Lake is one of those close by, and why not camp at Black Canyon Campground while you're here at Stink Lake. Butte Creek flows through this neighborhood, and if you've had enough of Stink Lake, Butte Lake is nearby.   Comfort Inn Ouray, Ouray 21 miles away All rooms have mountain views.
