Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Sweetwater Creek, and Oak Tree Inn Yampa is a good spot to get some rest. At Still Waters all through the long summer days highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are usually in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the       20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Still Waters fall into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Still Waters gets very little rainfall; March is when you get the most snow here while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Get drenched paddling on Grizzly Creek; on a delightful day you can take a hike along the South Derby Trail. Do stop by Crater Lake near Still Waters, it's a picturesque lake, and Sheep Mountain                  can be observed from Still Waters. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Still Waters that you need to camp here for a while, Bucks Campground is a pleasant spot for that; the High Trail is a delightful hiking trail close by. If you go for the outdoors, you'll like Still Waters.
