If you come at the right time of year, Grizzly Creek offers some great whitewater, and not far from Still Waters you'll discover Emerald Lake which is a gorgeous lake. If you need a location to stay Hotel Colorado is a delightful choice, and there's nice hiking along the Ute Trail. There are other spots here than Still Waters, for example Crater Lake, and you can go for a hike on the South       Derby Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Still Waters that you need to camp here for a while, Bucks Campground is a perfect spot for that, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Sweetwater Creek. After a long day outdoors Oak Tree Inn Yampa is a great place to spend a night or two, and one of the overriding features of the surroundings of Still Waters is Sheep Mountain. This place, Still Waters, it just has so much outdoors exciting                  stuff. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Still Waters has to offer, you can camp at Sweetwater Lake Campground, and great hiking is available along the High Trail. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Still Waters with nighttime lows in the 40's. During the winter highs are regularly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Still Waters. Not much precipitation falls here at Still Waters; through March this area sees the most snow, and the driest month of the year is June.
