Not far from Stewart Lake, you'll discover Reynolds Lake which is a pretty lake, and a perfect nearby hotel is Iron Horse Resort. And that's not all you can do here at Stewart Lake. There's always Stewart Lake Dam to go to close to Stewart Lake, and hiking along the James Peak Lake Trail is great fun. A day on the slopes of Winter Park is just what you need, and Rogers Pass is without doubt a nice place to check out. Stewart Lake is a location that is quite arid usually; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; February is the month with the least moisture. it descends down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Stewart Lake temperatures dip to the 0's. A nice place for whitewater paddling next to Stewart Lake is Clear
Creek, and a fine location to camp here at Stewart Lake is Mountain Meadow Camp Grounds. That right there is a heap already, but it continues; Stewart Lake has it all. Why not camp at Midland Campground since you're here at Stewart
Lake, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the South Boulder Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Sevenmile Ski Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood; if the weather is delightful, you obtain a perfect vista of Mount Bancroft from Stewart Lake.
