A fine nearby hotel is Rodeway Inn New Castle. The warmest time of the year at Sterry Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Sterry Lake are in the 0's. If you came to camp Hill Creek Campground and       Trailhead is a good place to do that, and hiking along the Fayville Trail is perfect fun. Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Sleepy Cat Trail, and White River - North Fork is a pleasant whitewater spot close by. You can run the rapids of White River - South Fork in the neighborhood of Sterry Lake, and Sterry Lake is right by the Bailey Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Sterry Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Clark Cabin                  Campground is a wonderful local campground, and naturally, this is a splendid neighborhood for people who like lakes, Stump Lake is a lake in the vicinity.
