Good hiking is available along the Ute Trail. There's so much to do here at Sterner Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Toponas Creek Campground is a tremendous location for that. That right there is plenty already, but it keeps on going; Sterner Reservoir has it all. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can explore Sterner Dam; whitewater       paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Colorado River. The High Trail offers hiking at its best. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Sterner Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Stagecoach. Not much rainfall falls here at Sterner Reservoir; the month with most of the snow is March while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Dry warm beds await you at Oak Tree Inn Yampa. Throughout the warm days of                  summer here at Sterner Reservoir, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 40's. Through the wintertime highs are mostly in the 20's while Sterner Reservoir nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's. If you need a site to stay Holiday Inn Express Eagle, Co is a nice choice; there's whitewater on Sweetwater Creek for all you adrenaline kick people.
