If you like lakes and you're in this part of Colorado you can check out Steamboat Lake. Throughout the warm months at Steamboat Lake highs are regularly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Steamboat Lake temperatures descend to the 0's. | | Trail is a great hiking trail right next door to Steamboat Lake, and camping is available at Sunrise Vista Campground. If you came for an overnight stay Dutch Hill Campground is a great spot to camp.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Park Range. While you're here at Steamboat Lake, you could also check out wonderful Pearl Lake; a good spot for whitewater paddling is Elk River. This lake is so wonderful. Near Steamboat Lake you find the Nipple | |

Peak Trail which is a good hiking trail, and after a long day outdoors Nordic Lodge of Steamboat is a nice site to spend a night or two.
Get your heart beating on the delightful whitewater of Elk River; since you're here, you
might as well stop by Ways Gulch. This lake is so wonderful. Willow Creek Dam is not far at all from Steamboat Lake, and there is a splendid hiking trail nearby called the Big Creek Bridge Trail. You'll in fact wish for more hours
in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the Park Range. A great close by hotel is CrossTimbers at Steamboat; do check out Hinman Lake, it's a wonderful lake.
Steamboat Lake is regularly a quite arid location; the wettest month
of the year is ordinarily December, that's the one that snows the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Man, is there plenty of entertaining things to do close to Steamboat Lake. Some of the water close by flows, like Deep Creek, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Howelsen Hill.
