Stay the night at Clear Lake Campground, and Loveland is a very popular ski area close at hand. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. Altura Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out, and pleasant hiking is available along the Argentine Trail. That right there is plenty already, but it goes on; Square Top Lakes has it all. While you're here at Square Top Lakes it's a great idea to have a look at Smelter Basin, and don't leave Square Top Lakes without first going for a hike along the Silver Dollar Lake Trail.
