This lake is so wonderful. OakRidge Lodge is a tremendous site to get some rest. It is very dried up here at Spruce Lakes usually; July is when you get the most rain here, and June is when it's the driest. A glorious location for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Spruce Lakes is Wolf Creek; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Spruce Lake Number 1.
Have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Windy Pass Trail,

and you acquire a great sight of Mount Hope from here. At Spruce Lakes all through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 30's. Highs during the winter are regularly in the 20's, and nighttime lows during the wintertime for Spruce Lakes tend to be in the-10's. Yeah, come up here to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains for a great time. On a glorious day at Spruce Lakes you can take a hike along the Highline Trail,
and in case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on San Juan River - East Fork.
This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express PAGOSA SPRINGS, and you can stay the night at West Fork Campground. You imagine that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. While you're here at Spruce Lakes you can take a hike along the Treasure Mountain Trail. Lakes are great; Spruce Lake Number 2 is a lake that's close to Spruce Lakes. Be careful coming to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, you might not ever wanna go back home again. There's so much to do here at Spruce Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Park Creek Campground is a great spot for that, and some of the water nearby flows, like Lake Creek.
The San Juan and Jemez Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
