Penrose-Rosemont Reservoir
Have fished at Rosemont for many years. Always had a great time, caught alot of fish. Very few people used to fish there but the scenery and beauty of the lake naturally attracts people....

Stanley Canyon Trail
11 miles away 9/7/2007 Hiked the Stanley Canyon trail with a friend and enjoyed the trail very much up to the reservoir. About half way up there is a ''V'' in the trail and you need to stay to the left or straight ahead. The trail leading up and to the right ends in scree and downed trees. It's a moderately strenuous trail up to the reservoir; but well worth it. Afterwards, we hiked up and past the reservoir and wanted to loop around and hit the lower Stanley trail but were unable to find the trailhead for it. We ended up blazing new ground and coming down Eagle Peak trail much to our surprise....
Calhan Reservoir
15 miles away Is Calhan reservoir open to the public? Can anyone provide an address?...
Monument Lake
16 miles away nice lake, easy to get to. Fits a couple of canoes. Some marshy area where people train their dogs. Fishing in 2007 was expected to be not the best due to the drought in 2004. We went twice in 2007, kids had a couple of bites, could see some people catching some smaller fish. Good lake for the ''I only have a few hours before the kids games'' kinda place....
Skagway Reservoir
16 miles away 1 PHOTO When do you stock skagway, and is it still open?... This lake is a beautiful serene place to spend a weekend we love our family camping trips there. The fishing has been both great and not so good. The time of the year plays a part. However the beauty is always there. Love It!!!... Fishing here was the most terrible expericence ever! I wolud head over to Eleven Mile if you arelooking for a good fishing trip!...
Skaguay Reservoir

North Catamount Reservoir
17 miles away For a nice hike/mountain bike ride, this lake has a complete loop around it. About half of it is single track that weaves gradually in and out of coves on the North side of the lake. The south side has a couple good climbs. The rest of the ride is on the roads (Ridge Trail), which offers some nice views of the Peak and glimpses of South Catamount. The best access, in my opinion, is from the Catamount entrance at the end of Edlow Road (Past Woodland Park about 3 miles)....
