     Take a little journey to Threemile Creek since you're here at Spinney Mountain Reservoir; do take a hike on the Nate Stult Trail. Spinney Mountain Reservoir gets very little rain; during August this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is January. This lake is so wonderful. Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is one of the destinations in the vicinity of Spinney Mountain Reservoir that are tremendous to go to, and why not camp at Pipe Springs  
   Campground if you're here at Spinney Mountain Reservoir. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Indian Creek Trail; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend South Platte River.
From Spinney Mountain Reservoir you acquire a great view of Spinney Mountain, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Tarryall Reservoir. During the summertime highs here at Spinney Mountain Reservoir
