Spinney Mountain Reservoir is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Greenview South Beach is a great location to get some rest, and South Platte River is a brilliant whitewater spot nearby. What a site this is for outdoors folks. Tarryall Reservoir is a great lake near Spinney Mountain Reservoir, and Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is a very great location to go to. There's some flowing water close by, Threemile Creek is a stream you can stop

There's so much to do here at Spinney Mountain Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Pipe Springs Campground is a perfect site for that, and if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on South Platte River. going for a hike on the Nate Stult Trail is always a delightful adventure. High temperatures at Spinney Mountain Reservoir during the summer are in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 30's. Highs through the winter
are mostly in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Spinney Mountain Reservoir.
You'll need more than a day to discover everything Spinney Mountain Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Eleven Mile State
Park; close by you discover the Indian Creek Trail which is a nice hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Lake Park Trail. Spinney Mountain Reservoir is pretty dry ordinarily; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here while January is commonly the driest month.

Canoe the day away around the shores of the backcountry. Fish from the shore or a boat while enjoying scenic vistas. Camp comfortably in designated campsites located around the shoreline, nestled among trees in the backcountry, or tucked away in secluded canyon pockets and remote hillsides.
Ideal wind conditions make Eleven Mile a popular but not overly crowded destination for sailing, windsurfing and winter ice boating on this wide-open reservoir. Motor boaters and kayakers also find plenty of room to play during the summer months.
