    Beautiful Spiler Lake has much to offer visitors. Lakes are splendid; Sappington Reservoir is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Spiler Lake; a delightful site for whitewater paddling is Navajo River. Man, is there loads of enjoyable stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. On a splendid day at Spiler Lake you can take a hike along the Leche Creek Trail, and you can stay the night at Acres Green RV Park. Blanco River Campground is a brilliant campground  
   nearby, and let's not forget Benson Creek which is a stream that you may stumble upon during your stay.
It is very waterless here at Spiler Lake usually; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and June is the month with the least moisture. Kenney Flats is a gorgeous spot any time of year. Spiler Lake is located in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
So much fun stuff to do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, too splendid
 
               to be true. You can run the rapids of Rio Blanco near Spiler Lake; there is a glorious hiking trail nearby called the Mill Creek Stock Drive. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is pleasant here at Spiler Lake, you can go for a hike along the Blanco River Trail; a great place is Deadman Canyon. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things near Spiler Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Pagosa Springs, Co, and Wolf Creek is a splendid local ski area.
Through the warm days of summer highs here at Spiler Lake reach the 80's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows during the wintertime for Spiler Lake tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Spiler Lake, you'll locate Twin Lakes which is a pretty lake; if you need a site to stay Oak Ridge Lodge is a glorious choice.

I am a guide on the San Juan here and wanted to correct the info about this run. The put in is behind a place called malt shoppe and the Lat/Long of it is: 37. 269902°, -107. 001559°

The take out after Mesa Canyon is where Trujillo Rd gets close to the river on R Left @ 37. 125988°, -107. 051072°

These are the closest Public put in & take out to the Lat/Long given on the site. Happy Raftin!...

Opal Lake

I was raised near this lake and when a child we had to pack horses into this lake. It is not near any campgrounds, and it's over 25 miles to town, not 18. It gets way colder than 0 in the winter but the views are almost correct.  It IS beautiful!...
