You definitely have to like the Sawatch Range. Paddling on Eagle River is so much fun. Spalding Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Sawatch Range. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Red Sky Golf Club is a pleasant golf course nearby, and after a long day outdoors The Lodge and Spa at Cordillera is a       wonderful location to spend a night or two. Spalding Reservoir is typically a relatively dried up site; all through July this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Now, you may imagine that's a heap but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Spalding Reservoir. Vail has splendid slopes and a friendly staff, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Ute Spring Reservoir is just a very short distance away. This lake is so                  wonderful. The Cache Creek Access Trail offers hiking at its best; Denison Draw is also a nice spot to look at. All through the summertime months highs here at Spalding Reservoir reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; overnight lows at Spalding Reservoir through the winter generally dip into the 0's.
