What a nice lake South Arapaho Reservoir is. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Steamboat is right next door to South Arapaho Reservoir; no need to travel far to pop by exciting stuff like Dennis Hump. Summer brings highs in the 80's to South Arapaho Reservoir while night lows are mostly in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at South Arapaho Reservoir temperatures dip

| | to the-10's. At South Arapaho Reservoir you don’t see much rain; the month with most of the snow is December, and the driest month of the year is August.
There is a great hiking trail next to South Arapaho Reservoir called the Grassy Run Trail; West Arapahoe Dam is not far at all from South Arapaho Reservoir.
