Go for a hike on the Horsefly Trail, and a lake nearby is Horsefly Trail Reservoir Number 2. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Sorenson Reservoir is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Antone Spring Campground is a delightful local campground; folks from Montrose love to come here. This lake is one of the great places here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains.       This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Cottonwood Trail, and Sorenson Reservoir is not the only site nearby, Logging Camp Draw Reservoir is a nearby lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Sorenson Reservoir; Pool Creek Trail is a fine local trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend San Miguel River. At Sorenson Reservoir you don’t see much rainfall; the month of July is the wettest with                  most of the rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. During the summer here at Sorenson Reservoir, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's; the overnight is quite colder of course, usually in the 40's. During the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Sorenson Reservoir plunge into the 0's. Camping at Iron Spring Campground is always a pleasant experience, and a pleasant visit to Sanborn Park is a great way to spend an afternoon. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Hampton Inn Montrose. Yep, outdoors exciting things truly is plentiful here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains.
