This lake is located in the wonderful Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. A pleasant tour to Sanborn Park is a great way to spend an afternoon, and this is a popular place for people from Montrose. This lake is so wonderful. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Hole-in-Ground Spring, and camping is available at Antone Spring Campground. At Sorenson Reservoir you don’t see       much rainfall; during the month of July you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains will keep you coming back repeatedly. Lakes are such serene locations, why not explore Herman Reservoir in the neighborhood of Sorenson Reservoir, and if you came for an overnight stay Iron Spring Campground is a great place to camp. Not enough hours                  in a day to enjoy the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. There are other places here than Sorenson Reservoir, for example Logging Camp Draw Reservoir; paddling on San Miguel River is so much fun. Summertime at Sorenson Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 40's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Sorenson Reservoir. Whitewater paddling is great on San Miguel River, and there is a magnificent hiking trail close by called the Pool Creek Trail. So many entertaining things to do here at Sorenson Reservoir, too magnificent to be true. If you need a place to stay Quality Inn & Suites is a good choice, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Horsefly Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
