There are some perfect whitewater spots on Eagle River, and one of the major features of the surroundings of Sopris Lake is Savage Peak. This lake is located in the wonderful Sawatch Range. This location, the Sawatch Range, has so much outdoors cool things. Going for a hike on the Fall Creek Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and if you get bored of Sopris Lake you could also stop by close by Lake Esther. Sopris Lake is a       site with many visitors from Edwards, and Brady Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. During the summer, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Sopris Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Sopris Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Homestake Creek offers some great whitewater, and Christie Lodge is a wonderful                  place to get some rest. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Sopris Lake is excellent! There's so much to do here at Sopris Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Gold Park Campground is a tremendous spot for that; if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Sopris Creek. The Half Moon Trail is a great hiking trail next to Sopris Lake, and everyone close by loves skiing at Ski Cooper. So much cool stuff to do in the Sawatch Range, not enough time. Beaver Creek is a fine local ski area, and a tremendous nearby hotel is The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch. All the outdoors enjoyable things close to Sopris Lake will keep you coming back many times. If you came to camp Mary Queen Campground is a great site to do that, and there is a magnificent hiking trail nearby called the Main Range Trail.
