It is very arid here at Solitary Lake regularly; the month with most of the snow is March while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. At Solitary Lake you can catch a sight of Derby Peak. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Solitary Lake without first going for a hike along the High Trail,       and Solitary Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Bucks Campground is a fine local campground. Lakes? Sure, Muskrat Lake is in the vicinity; going for a hike on the Ute Trail is always a splendid adventure. Now, you may imagine that's plenty but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Solitary Lake. Not far from Solitary Lake, you'll stumble on Mud Lake which is a delightful lake, and you can go for a hike on the South Derby Trail. Camping                  at Trapline Campground is always a wonderful experience; dry warm beds await you at Oak Tree Inn Yampa. Summertime highs at Solitary Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's.
