This lake is so wonderful. There are some great whitewater spots on Cache La Poudre River, and Bingham Hill is clearly visible from Soldier Canyon Reservoir. A visit to Rocky Mountain National Park is recommended, and after a long day outdoors The Armstrong Hotel is a tremendous location to spend a night or       two. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Soldier Canyon Reservoir. If you're here, you might as well check out Arthurs Rock Gulch, and you can stay the night at Heron Lake RV Park. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Front Range. Hilton Fort Collins is a fine site to get some rest, and there's whitewater on Cache La Poudre River for all you adrenaline kick people. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here                  at Soldier Canyon Reservoir. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Horsetooth Reservoir. On a good day at Soldier Canyon Reservoir you can take a hike along the Wintersteen Trail; there's some out of the ordinary stuff to spot at Soldier Canyon Dam near Soldier Canyon Reservoir. All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the Front Range will keep you coming back many times. The Greyrock Trail is a nice hiking trail in the vicinity of Soldier Canyon Reservoir.
