It's always fun to stop by Snowmass Lake. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Laurelwood Condominiums is a great spot to spend a night or two, and if you want a little side tour, try Heckert Pass. Around Snowmass Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here; February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. The Blue Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and a nice location to camp

For the period of the summertime months at Snowmass Lake highs are commonly in the 70's while night lows are commonly in the 40's. Throughout the winter the highs are frequently in the 30's; nighttime lows through the winter for Snowmass Lake tend to be in the-10's. The slopes of Aspen Highlands are so inviting noone can resist, and the summit of Elk Mountains can be distinguished from Snowmass Lake. Here | |

at Snowmass Lake you'll probably meet some people from Edwards, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Snowmass Lake; Munsey Ruby Stock Driveway is a magnificent local trail.
Irwin Lodge is a great local ski area, and why
not camp at East Maroon Portal Campground since you're here at Snowmass Lake. Get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Crystal River - North Fork. Good hiking is available along the Trail Riders Trail; you can run the rapids
of Crystal River.
All the outdoors entertaining stuff in close proximity to Snowmass Lake will keep you coming back over and over. The peaks of the Elk Mountains dominate the scenery of this area, and dry warm beds await you at Wildwood Lodge.
