Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Don't leave Smith Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Mesa Trail, and a picturesque lake like Kenderick Lake Number 1 is a great location to check out. If you came for an overnight stay The Prospect RV Park is a great place to camp, and after a long day       outdoors Hampton Inn Denver West Federal Center is a good spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. You'll hit upon a pretty lake called Main Reservoir near Smith Reservoir, and a brilliant location for whitewater paddling is South Platte River. Don't miss out on a spree to Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument if you're here at Smith Reservoir. Go for a hike on the Beaver Brook Trail, and why not camp at South Park Lodge and RV Park while you're                  here at Smith Reservoir. Weaver Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth going to; near Smith Reservoir you come across a golf course called Bear Creek Golf Club. At Smith Reservoir you don’t see much rainfall; May is when you get the most rain here while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. For the duration of the warmest time of the year at Smith Reservoir highs are mostly in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are generally in the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Smith Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful.
