Wilson Reservoir is a delightful lake near Smith Reservoir, and camping at Pinyon Flats Campground is always a fine experience. So much amusing stuff to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, not sufficient time. Camping is available at Great Sand Dunes Oasis, and going for a hike on the Huerfano Trail is always       a nice adventure. Smith Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Great Sand Dunes National Monument is a very glorious site to check out close to Smith Reservoir, and let's not forget Aspen Creek which is a stream that you may encounter while here. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Smith Reservoir. Mosca Dam is a site that is close to Smith Reservoir, and                  the Cascade Trail is a great hiking trail close by. This site, the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. Lakes? Sure, Mosco Reservoir is in the vicinity, and there is a splendid hiking trail close by called the Strawberry Trail. Summer at Smith Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's.
