Smith Reservoir is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Aspen Mountain is a very popular ski area in the vicinity; if you came for an overnight stay Aspen- Basalt Campground is a nice site to camp. -blank- is a glorious whitewater spot right next door to Smith Reservoir, and camping is available at Gypsum Creek Campground. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sawatch Range.
This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Smith Reservoir

| | without first checking out Seven Castles; probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Toner Reservoir is just a very short distance away. Smith Reservoir is generally a reasonably dried up site; the wettest month of the year is regularly April, that's the one that rains the most, and June on the other hand is the driest. the ordinary things to see, and don't forget to take a nice little journey to Iola Creek.
Having a nice time in the Sawatch Range is simple. Don't leave Smith Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Blue Creek Trail;
Taylor Creek Pass is also a wonderful spot to look at. Good hiking is available along the Antone Trail; The Crestwood Condominiums is a nice spot to get some rest. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling
on Roaring Fork.
You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool things the Sawatch Range has to offer. Aspen Highlands has nice slopes and a friendly staff, and dry warm beds await you at Snowmass Lodging Company. The warmest
time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Smith Reservoir. For the period of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Smith Reservoir.
